Roadrunner Coaching Staff:
Gray Tedder - Director of Roadrunner Aquatics, Roadrunner Elite Coach, Masters Coach Gray is an ASCA Level 5 Certified swim coach, the highest certification level possible. Before starting his coaching career, he swam sprint freestyle for the University of South Carolina from 2007-2011, where he studied Economics. He has served as head coach of Sharks Aquatic Club in North Carolina, and an assistant coach for Carolina Aquatics in South Carolina. In his time with Roadrunner Aquatics, the club has been recognized as a Silver Medal Club by USA Swimming, had 7 individual top 5 finishes at Junior Nationals (including 4 gold and 2 silver medals), a top-ten individual finish at US Nationals, had three swimmers qualify for Olympic Trials, placed two swimmers on the USA Swimming National Junior Team, and had two swimmers represent the United States in various international competitions. Gray was named to the 2014-15 and 2015-16 National Junior Team coaching staff. Gray primarily coaches Roadrunner Elite, while overseeing all aspects of the program.
Michelle Kroll- Head Age Group Coach, Senior Runner Coach, New Swimmer Evaluations Michelle swam Backstroke, Freestyle, and IM at Ventura College from 2006-2008 where she was a two time All-American. She transferred to CSUB and swam from 2009-2011. Michelle brings five years of age group coaching experience to the Roadrunner staff. In her first year with Roadrunner Aquatics, Michelle had a swimmer qualify for the Far Western Championships and oversaw a successful summer recreation season as Head Administrator of the recreation team. In her second year with Roadrunner Aquatics, Michelle moved to coaching the Senior Runner group. She oversaw the training and development of our top age group swimmers, producing several top 3 finishes at CCS Junior Olympics and qualifying seven swimmers for the South Western Age Group Regional meet. She also had two swimmers reach Senior Zone qualfying times.
Tony Daly- Runner Three Coach, New Swimmer Evaluations Tony swam at Drury University in Missouri, and was part of three NCAA Division II champion teams, before finishing his career at CSUB. Tony served as the head coach of the recreation team in the summer of 2015, and was the first coach of the High School Prep group, before moving to his current role as Runner 3 Coach. In Tony's first year with Runner Three, he developed and produced four South Western Age Group Regional qualifiers and the top two point scorers for 10 & Under girls at the CCS Junior Olympics.
Jeanette Pratt- Jeanette brings four years of swim experience as well as three years of certified swim lessons and life guarding. She loves the water and loves teaching! She is incredibly excited to be a part of the Roadrunner team! Jeanette will be assisting with Groups One and Two.
Dennis Cassidy- Group Two Coach, Masters Coach Dennis is a senior distance swimmer and captain from Whittier, California. He is a kinesiology major. He brings 6 years of swimming experience to our staff. Dennis will assist with Group Two, and coach the Gold Wave Masters three times per week.
Kim Clereau- Group One Coach. Kim is the coach for the Runner Group, our beginning swimming group. Kim has been involved in Bakersfield area Age Group Swimming for many years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our coaching staff.
Ben Herboth- Head Diving Coach- Ben is a former USA Diving National Qualifier and ACC Runner-Up. As a University of North Carolina Tar Heel, Ben was the highest point scoring swimmer or diver at the 2005 ACC Championships. Before his collegiate career, Ben was a two-time All-American and four-time Junior National Qualifier.
